Meet JOSH HIRSHENHORN

Position: Sales Representative – PA, DE, S.NJ

Years with Rees: 9+ Years

Hobbies: late-night karaoke

Something I've always wanted to learn or try: I've dabbled with instruments like guitar and drums but I've always wanted to take formal lessons and maybe play in a band.

​

Why did you join the Rees Team?

I was ready for a new challenge and was also looking for an opportunity to come back home to Philadelphia since I was living in Baltimore at the time.

​

Describe your work experience prior to your employment at Rees.

I worked for a group that sold capital laboratory equipment such as biological safety cabinets, incubators, autoclaves, glassware washers and a lot more. I even had some exposure to Rees products!

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.

I'm not sure I have a single favorite memory, but I always appreciate any time we have an opportunity to see internal staff, sales and service personnel in the same setting. It can sometimes feel like we're on an island as regional sales and service people, so feeling that camaraderie can be energizing.

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?

Clients seem to be really excited about our new equipment qualification, validation and mapping services.  These new offerings will allow us to provide additional value to and strengthen partnerships with our clients.

​

How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

Where do I start?  I truly think Rees is positioned to be the total solutions provider for our client partners. On top of enhancements to our core EMS product, we continue to invest in new qualification services, updated and streamlined IQ/OQ documentation and we have reimagined our technical support and service offerings.  The impact of these investments to our clients will be huge; helping them meet their quality and business goals while allowing them to concentrate on the science that changes people’s lives.

Meet Dawn Fasenmyer

Position: Sales Operations Supervisor

​

Years with Rees: 12+ Years

​

Hobbies: I like going to the gym and Starbucks

​

Something I've always wanted to learn or try: I want to learn a second language personally. Professionally, I would like to learn how to have more confidence when speaking in public, selling and teaching people.

​

Why did you join the Rees Team?

I joined Rees because I liked the fact that people had been there a long time with not much turn around. That meant a lot to me when looking at the company.

​

Describe your work experience prior to your employment at Rees.

I had been working in Customer Service and Hotel Sales before I joined Rees. I worked with a variety of clients, universities and other large groups which has helped me clearly understand and assist with customer needs at Rees.

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?

My role here at Rees has evolved over the last 12 years. I started out as strictly Customer Service and began helping out with sales operations when needed. Recently, I have transitioned into the Sales Operations Supervisor role.

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.

My favorite memories at Rees are the Holiday parties and the cookouts at HQ. I enjoyed the times when we were all together.

​

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?

I have had many customers give positive feedback over the years but the one that stuck with me was a customer saying "your products played an important role in the early Ebola response of 2014-2016".

​

How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

I envision we will grow as a business with more innovation, improved software, and additional products. I believe that the changes will only enhance our growth and the customer experience.

Meet Gaby Zavala

Position: Regional Service Manager

​

Years with Rees: 3+ Years

​

Hobbies: I love to bow hunt

​

Military or Veteran Status: Veteran, United States Marine Corps

​

Something I've always wanted to learn or try: I would like to build from scratch my own custom computer.

​

Why did you join the Rees Team?

I got out of the US Marine Corps during peak Covid and was anxious to start working. I was happy that the role I applied for at Rees wasn't an office job and the I could still be on the move.

​

Describe your work experience prior to your employment at Rees.

I have prior experience in the technician field. I was able to adapt to changing situations which is needed at Rees. I like to joke that the 9 years in the US Marine Corps has trained me well for a career at Rees.

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?

I started out at Rees as a Field Service Technician. I quickly went from a Field Service Technician to a Regional Service Manager in 3 years. I now have a more active role with all customers within my region.

​

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.

My favorite memory while working at Rees has to be the first RSM Meeting that was held in Texas. I got to meet a lot of cool people and it was great getting to know the new leadership team.

​

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?

A lot of customers have recently been complimenting the Rees WIFI systems. They say that they're the most reliable and are easy to troubleshoot.

​

How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

I believe that the sky is the limit for Rees.

Meet Anthony McCormack

Position: Regional Service Manager

​

Years with Rees: 11+ Years

​

Hobbies: Religious Studies, Traveling to new places

Why did you join the Rees Team?

I joined Rees as a technician. The combination of skills that I would utilize as a technician was appealing to me. I enjoy interacting with various people and being able to apply my ingenuity, resourcefulness, and professional personability to various projects.

​

Describe your work experience prior to your employment at Rees.

My past training includes electronics, programming, and computer skills training. These areas of training gave me previous exposure to some of the language and concepts that I encounter daily. Additionally, my experience includes technical call center experience in which I had to troubleshoot networking, routers, and computer configuration. This gave me insight into the work that we do as field technicians at Rees. It also prepared me to work on the after-hours call

team. I also had experience as a field technician in which I installed and repaired electronic equipment. This prepared me for working onsite with customers. I also have public speaking experience as a Gospel preacher and teacher in the church that I attend. This helped me to prepare training documents and to train the customers as well as my technicians.

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?

While at Rees, my role has evolved from being a field technician to taking tech support calls from customers to leading a team of technicians and working with customers.

​

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.

Since Rees has international clients, we also have the opportunity to visit foreign lands from time to time. My favorite memory while working with Rees occurred a few weeks ago when I went to assist with a project in Spain. I completed the project successfully. The weekend was spent exploring some of Spain and taking a weekend day trip to Morocco, Africa.

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?

Customers have mentioned that our level of service is great because our technicians respond quickly to their needs.

​

How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

I believe in the service that Rees supplies to the world and I envision that it will grow and have a positive global impact of accountability and excellence.

Meet DANNIE RIVERA

Position: Field Service Engineer - Texas Region

Years with Rees: 15+ Years

Hobbies: Running occasionally and practicing martial arts

​

Military or Veteran Status: Veteran, Vietnam Era, US Marine Corp, 8 years of service

Why did you join the Rees Team?

I joined the Rees Team because I wanted a job that matched my current skills. I was looking for a profession where I could apply my knowledge and previous experience.

​

Describe your work experience prior to your employment at Rees.

I have semiconductor and electronic experience from other companies. I have been able to apply the skills and knowledge that I gained from those different roles to my current role.

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.

I went on a service call that required additional work to correct and verify issues plus install several things. Sales Representative Ricardo Padilla helped me complete the project as well as continue doing his job.  This showed me that Rees personnel back up each other.

​

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?

I have received positive feedback on our WIFI and Cloud systems. Companies trust our services and equipment and rely on our accuracy.

​

How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

Rees has the opportunity to show other companies how taking care of your employees, listening to them and giving credit where it is due pays off. An example other companies will follow.

Meet Ricardo Padilla

Position: Sales Representative – AZ, CO, NM, UT, WY

Years with Rees Scientific: 10+ Years

​

Hobbies: Fly Tying and Fishing, Travel, Golf, Pool, Darts and Corn Hole

​

Military or Veteran Status: US Army, 22 years of service

​

Something you have always wanted to learn or try: I would like to learn how to be a helicopter or plane pilot.

​

Why did you join the Rees Scientific Team?

I had just completed my Electrical Engineering degree and was looking for a company I could grow with. I found the role of a RS technician attractive because I already had experience with Zigbee technology as well as computers and networking, so it was a very good fit. I was excited for the ability to expand my technical skills, opportunities for advancement, and traveling to different cities, states and abroad.

Did your background in the Army help you when joining Rees Scientific?

Definitely, from a technical standpoint as well as ability to work independently, achieve mission goals, teamwork and leadership.

 

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees Scientific?

Initially, I was hired as a Field Service Technician I and within one year I was promoted to level III.  Approximately one year later, I was offered the SW5STS Sales Representative position.

​

What are some of the Rees Scientific products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?

I have received positive feedback on our Mapping kits and RTD sensors. Customers really like how easy it is to use the system because there is no need to download data to a spreadsheet and crunch numbers. They also like the versatility of the system such as being able to map the number of points they need/want and different types of environments.  Customers also like that the RTD sensors can map incubators, fridges, freezers as well as ultra-low units. I think it comes down to three points:  ease-of-use, versatility and value!

How do you envision the future of Rees Scientific in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

I see Rees growing exponentially over the next 3-5 years with innovative products and services that will impact the life sciences industry throughout the globe.

Meet Lori Costelow

Position: Project Coordinator

​

Years with Rees Scientific: 5+ Years

​

Hobbies: I love being with my Grandson and just acting like a kid with him and taking him places. I also enjoy going to Wild Wood, NJ with my daughter and reading on the beach. I also enjoy Country Concerts.

​

Something you have always wanted to learn or try: I would like to take up kayaking and hiking or learn how to ride a motorcycle.

​

Why did you join the Rees Scientific Team?

I felt like this was a good fit for me with all the other jobs I have held previously. I am glad that I was chosen to become a part of the Rees Scientific Team!

​

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees Scientific?

Although I am still in the same position, I have been given more duties and responsibilities.

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees Scientific.

I enjoyed our Christmas Parties and the cook off challenge between the different departments. I also enjoyed getting together with everyone at the Trenton Thunder games.

​

How do you envision the future of Rees Scientific in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

I envision Rees Scientific growing fast. With the new direction of the company, I can see us expanding with new products. The impact it could have should create more positions within the company or advancements.
